Full Time Position
Shop hours: 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri
Salary will be based on experience: $18-$35/hr
Responsibilities will include:
- Grinding and laying up fiberglass matt
- Structural repair to stringers, transoms and floors
- Structural repair to underwater impact damage
- Osmosis repair and sealant application
- Mixing, colour matching and applying gelcoat for repair purposes
Buffing and detailing is a good asset but is not required.
We work on boats from 15 to 45 ft solely in the repair side; we do not layup moulds or build new boats.
Year round work available in a 40 x 60 heated shop. Shop is fully stocked with all tooling and spraying equipment, personal protective equipment is also supplied.
Means of transportation and ability to follow a set schedule is a must.

Nordmanner Marine Services is a structural and cosmetic fiberglass boat repair shop located in Richmond, BC. We offer repairs, refits and maintenance to composite boats.
Job Objective:
To conduct structural and cosmetic repairs on fiberglass boats. This includes damage assessments, repairs, and building of new parts.
We are looking for people who can:
- Conduct damage assessments.
- Prepare and read layup schedules.

- Have vacuum bagging experience.

Position Responsibilities:
• Inspect and photograph internal / external blade damage, document findings, and assemble all
associated paperwork as required to be posted for further action by Engineering;
• Preform composite repairs on internal and external blade surfaces, leading and trailing edge areas while following guidelines provided by Engineering;
• Work will occur up tower from a man-lift and at ground level when down tower;
• Utilize blade access platforms, boom trucks, and rope access at heights of 300 feet (90m) or more;
• Assist in all areas of site work with minimal supervision;
• Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures;
• Communicate site status to engineering, customers, and management;
• Provide maintenance support and preform large component replacement of wind turbine generators
• Provide wind turbine generator LOTO (Lock Out & Tag Out) support
Qualifications/Requirements:
• High School Diploma / GED; and
• Minimum of 2 years of composite repair experience, or graduate of a Wind Tech and/or Composite program.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically, as required;
• Legally authorized to work in Canada;
• Ability and willingness to climb and work at heights of 300 feet or more;
• Due to equipment specifications, workers cannot exceed weight limit of 250 lbs; and
• Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid Ontario (Canadian) driver\\\'s license.

• Minimum one (1) years’ experience working in and around wind turbine, specifically for blade inspection and composite repair preferred.
• SPRAT Level 2 Certification preferred
• Experience using basic power and hydraulic tools.
